We took all our preschoolers in a private bus to Riverside Theatres, Parramatta for the Exclusive Zooom Show. Children watched a Theatre production Zooom – using original music, Laser, and Projection. The performance unpacked the science of animation from pixel to line to animation, as miniature worlds are blown up to be larger than life. The show ran for approximately 45 minutes.
It was a night of light brought to you by the entire Reggio Emilia Family – children, educators, families, and our local community who worked so hard in making this event truly spectacular and a night to remember! We packed our centres with light exhibitions, artworks, performances, special guests, delicious food, waves of laughter, giggles, fun, and overall entertainment.
Check out the two days of fun our Reggio Emilia preschoolers experienced at Sydney Zoo. We took all our preschoolers in a private bus to Sydney Zoo, Bungarribee where they walked around a set route to watch and learn about the various animals.
We took all our preschoolers in a private bus to Wild Life Zoo, Darling Harbour where the children had a picnic-style lunch and went on a tour of Sydney Wildlife Zoo. They experienced the best of Australia’s wildlife, and discover some of the most endangered creatures in the world including Tasmanian Devils, a friendly Quokka, and an adorable Numbat. In addition, they got close and personal to the ‘Aussie Big 5’ including Kangaroos, Koalas, Wombat, Platypus, and the giant Saltwater Crocodile.
In July, we took all our preschoolers in a private bus to the Australian Museum where the children were able to explore various galleries and exhibitions like First Nations Gallery, Wild Planet, Sperm Whale Skeleton, Westpac Long Gallery 200 Treasures of the Australian Museum, Surviving Australia, Dinosaurs, Birds of Australia and much more.
We took all our pre-schoolers in a private bus to the Museum Of Fire, Penrith, where the children walked around a set route through the Fire Safety in the Home section, followed by Bush fires section to the Firefighter Zone and much more. Through this exciting learning opportunity, children also discovered more about Fire Safety and what to do in emergencies and also got an understanding of what our Community Helpers do.
We took all our pre-schoolers in a private bus to the Sydney Bus Museum, Leichhardt where the children walked around a set route through the Bus Museum, as they explore a tour of buses from 1920-2000’s. Through this exciting learning opportunity, children also discovered more about Bus Safety procedures.
The children at Reggio Emilia Pagewood had an exciting excursion where we got to experience the Greatest Easter Egg hunt! We started our morning at the centre where a bus took us to centennial park, the children had so much fun on bus singing songs and speaking about the sights we saw on the trip there, which included some horses!
We had so much fun dancing, making balloon animals, having their faces painted, meeting the easter bunny and off course going on an easter egg hunt! And what would a trip to the park be if we didn’t come together for some lovely sandwiches on the picnic blankets with some yummy surprise babycinos!
Thank you so much to all the families that joined us and took their time out to volunteer on the day. We can’t wait to have even more fun next year!
Check out the fun and absolutely free activities our Reggio Emilia Family participate in
We started our morning at the centre where we put on our fancy new vests and hats and discussed safety while out on the excursion, and before we knew it we were lining up on the bus to make our way to beautiful Sydney harbour.
Our first stop was Wild Life Sydney Zoo – We were greeted by our tour guides and brought into the entrance walking through mist of the rainforest into the butterfly enclosure – they were butterflies everywhere!
We also saw kangaroos, echidnas, crocodiles, snakes and lizards. The children were completely fascinated by what we saw and gathered lots of information form our guides.
Up to the koala enclosure we had our snacks and drinks and ready for the Aquarium.
– wondering through we saw a big tank filled with exotic fish. There was so much to see as we then made our way UNDER the fish tanks.
This was amazing as we looked up and the sky was filled with sharks, sting rays and a very big dugong.
Next was the boat ride, taking a boat we were able to explore the habitat of the penguin – it was so cold! At last we reached the rockpool where we were able to touch and feel some sea animals.
We are so proud of our Reggio Emilia children, families and educators on a wonderful day!
