We love our Reggio Emilia community getting involved in the day-to-day events in our Early Education Centres. Our Families are always welcomed and encouraged to come into the Centres and share their many talents with the children and our Educators, as it takes a village to raise a child. Families are encouraged to share vital learning experiences in what they did with their child/ren on the weekend/week via the Parent Communication Hub for collaborative learning within the Educational Program.
Every day at our centers, educators and children come together in a ‘Yarning Circle.’ This special gathering serves as a platform for meaningful conversations, during which children and educators together reflect on their daily learning experiences, express their interests and curiosities, engage in discussions about ongoing projects, and collaboratively decide on the learning opportunities to be explored throughout the day. This shared space fosters a sense of community and active participation, creating a dynamic environment where both educators and children contribute to shaping their educational journey.
Our approach to project selection distinguishes us, as it is not dictated by teachers but rather co-determined through discussion with the children. Our educators keenly observe and identify the children’s interests, initiating collaborative discussions to collectively agree on the projects to be pursued. This process ensures that the projects are tailored to the children’s passions and curiosities.
In our educational philosophy, we recognize the pivotal role of play in the learning process. We acknowledge that both fun and play are integral components of a child’s development. Consequently, we structure our projects around captivating concepts that seamlessly integrate learning into playtime, fostering an environment where education feels like an exciting adventure.
To capture and share the richness of these learning experiences, our projects are meticulously documented in various formats. This documentation serves the dual purpose of making the learning journey visible to families, children and educators. By doing so, we aim to create transparency and inclusivity, inviting everyone to witness and appreciate the growth and achievements of each child.
Each component of the Reggio 5 Program is carefully crafted to nurture your child's curiosity, creativity, and social development.
Explore sustainability, healthy eating, and cultural diversity through hands-on gardening and farm-to-table cooking activities. From planting seeds to preparing delicious meals, children will learn valuable life skills in a fun and engaging environment
Let your child discover the joy of music through interactive lessons, singing, movement, and even instrument-making using recyclable materials. Our program culminates in a musical showcase where children can showcase their newfound skills and creativity.
Promote physical activity, motor skills, and mindfulness through our holistic sports and yoga program. From obstacle courses to sports skills development and mindful breathing exercises, children will enhance their physical and mental well-being.
Immerse your child in the richness of Italian culture through drama, storytelling, songs, and crafts. Designed to boost confidence in conversational Italian, this program makes learning a new language a delightful adventure.
Encourage self-expression and physical coordination through ballet, tap, acrobatics, and creative movement. Our dance program integrates educational concepts with the joy of movement, building strong muscles and social skills.
As your child begins to approach four years of age, your family will be faced with the challenging decision of where to enrol your child for their all-important Kindergarten/Preschool year. During that year, we will prepare them for their critical first year of school.
The fundamental basis of our Program is the curriculum. This provides the framework in which all of our learning activities are implemented to prepare them to be socially and emotionally ready for Kindergarten with the support and partnership with families.
These activities are delivered by using interest-based learning, with specific learning contexts that are designed to maximize and extend learning outcomes for all children.
Our objective is to ensure that every child who graduates from our Kindergarten/Preschool Program is fully equipped with the appropriate tools required for your child’s next step into big school.
