The Reggio 5

There’s even more fun at our childcare centre at Dee Why! In addition, our Program is enhanced by extracurricular enrichment activities known as the Reggio 5. These are:

Let your child discover the joy of music through interactive lessons, singing, movement, and even instrument-making using recyclable materials. Our program culminates in a musical showcase where children can showcase their newfound skills and creativity.

Explore sustainability, healthy eating, and cultural diversity through hands-on gardening and farm-to-table cooking activities. From planting seeds to preparing delicious meals, children will learn valuable life skills in a fun and engaging environment

Promote physical activity, motor skills, and mindfulness through our holistic sports and yoga program. From obstacle courses to sports skills development and mindful breathing exercises, children will enhance their physical and mental well-being.

Immerse your child in the richness of Italian culture through drama, storytelling, songs, and crafts. Designed to boost confidence in conversational Italian, this program makes learning a new language a delightful adventure.

Encourage self-expression and physical coordination through ballet, tap, acrobatics, and creative movement. Our dance program integrates educational concepts with the joy of movement, building strong muscles and social skills.

The Arts

Art is one of the ‘100 languages’ – exposing them to a range of artistic styles and techniques, your child can learn to listen and respond to multiple of perspectives.

Nutritious Meals

Every meal on our menu has been devised and approved by our Accredited Nutritionist and Dietician. If your child has a special dietary need, no problem – we’ll be able to cater for it.

Rest Time

Children learn better when they have a routine. We observe Sleep Time every day, to allow your child to rest. If they wake early or can’t sleep, there is an area for them to play quietly.

Fitness

Movement helps to coordinate motor skills.A variety of sports skills will be taught, and we emphasise the importance of maintaining a healthy body.

Start Strong for Long Day Care 2026

Reggio Emilia Early Learning Centres’ preschool program is a recipient of funding under the NSW Department of Education’s ‘Start Strong for Long Day Care 2025’ Program.

Up to $2,174 fee relief in 2026

Up to $2,174 PA ($41.80 per week) for 4-year-olds and up to $515 PA ($9.90 per week) for 3-year-olds.

Reggio has been an absolute delight for both my children. Having compared their standards first hand with other daycares in the area I can confidently say that I have been very happy with their overall policies, proactive approach & need to continually improve upon their standards. All the staff are very helpful, welcoming & friendly. What I love best is that Reggio aims to always put the kids needs first, show plenty of love, are hygienic, provide a great variety of healthy food options and most importantly are very attentive and stay well informed in dealing with any allergies or medical issues. All in all Reggio has been amazing. Our family love the team to bits!!
